I am a PostDoctoral Fellow at the Visual Cognitive Systems Lab, from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Computer and Information Science, working under the supervision of Luka Čehovin Zajc.
My research focuses on fluvial remote sensing within the RiverTiles project in the SMASH program. I develop computer-vision and geospatial methods for mapping river environments from ultra-high-resolution UAV imagery. I am also building rivertiles, an open platform for publishing and sharing river orthophotos, terrain products, metadata, and expert geomorphological annotations.
Before joining ViCoS, I worked at the University of Trento on UAV-based river mapping, geomorphological analysis, and fluvial habitat characterization. My work combines remote sensing, computer vision, and open geospatial data to support more scalable and reproducible river monitoring.
